What we do ...
The Chamber is actively involved in the local planning process for the future development of Chippenham to help make it a great place to live work and visit. We also work closely with Chippenham Town Council and Wiltshire Council to help develop the town and its facilities in the best way to take advantage of our existing assets and provide new opportunities for businesses, residents and visitors.
By developing new partnerships and improving communications between business, Wiltshire Council and regional agencies, we want to encourage economic growth and make Chippenham an attractive proposition for expansion and investment. Our main objectives are to increase our involvement in the local community and to promote and represent our members.
Chippenham is a historic market town, which has now grown to become the second largest settlement in Wiltshire.
The town has thrived due to its strategic location and excellent communication links and sits between Swindon to the East and Bath to the West. Chippenham has a vibrant population of 45,000 people all located within 3 miles of junction 17 of the M4 Motorway and located on the main line railway running from London to Bristol.
The future
Key to Chippenham's future is the combination of enterprise, quality of lifestyle and environment. At the town's heart is the River Avon, with its associated parks and strong recreational facilities.

The future of the town is underpinned by three excellent 3 secondary schools, 10 primary schools and Wiltshire College.
